We carry many different types of garage door pulleys.

But since pulleys come in so many different sizes, it may be best to bring the old one with you, or at least a picture of it, and measure the diameter of the pulley.

The black dust comes from the metal carriage traveling back and forth on the metal rail of the garage door opener. This creates metal shavings that drop on your door as the door travels.

Properly lubricating the rail and carriage assemblies periodically will allow the parts to glide and not grind.

We recommend lithium grease for most units. Be careful not to overdo it if you are doing it yourself.

If you over-lubricate it will end up dripping on your car, your floor, and your garage door.

Although we carry the most common types of bottom garage door seals (vinyl and rubber) and the aluminum retainers that hold them, keep in mind that some seals are specific to the brand and model door you may have.

If you can e-mail us with pictures of your door and gap, or bring in some pictures, we can offer you our opinion.

Keep in mind that these seals will help with some variance in your floor levels, but if the slope is too severe, you may have to fix the concrete to get a good seal.
